Campus Nonpartisan Student Voter Engagement Action Planning Hub

The Campus Nonpartisan Democratic Engagement Action Planning Hub serves as a central resource for institutions seeking to develop or improve their campus action plans for student voter engagement. This hub addresses frequently asked questions about action planning, provides access to essential resources and templates, and connects campuses with workshop opportunities throughout the academic year.

The resource explains what action plans are (dynamic documents that serve as roadmaps for institutionalizing democratic engagement), why they’re important for colleges and universities, and how to get started with the action planning process. It features a comprehensive workshop series including Action Planning Basics sessions, coalition building workshops, year-round engagement strategy sessions, and specialized training on using voter engagement data through NSLVE integration.

How would a campus best use this resource?
Coalition Partners can use this guide to develop or strengthen their campus democratic engagement infrastructure through systematic action planning. Partners can follow the step-by-step process to assess current efforts and outcomes, build or expand nonpartisan campus voting coalitions, set measurable goals using the SMARTIE framework, develop comprehensive implementation strategies, and create accountability systems for continuous improvement. The resource includes workshop opportunities, peer review processes, and connections to additional SLSV resources to support implementation.
