Ask Every Student Faculty Professional Development Workshop

Miami Dade College (MDC) created and offered a Faculty Professional Development Workshop to prepare faculty to help students be “election-ready.” It was a 90-minute workshop, with 30 minutes of post-work, for a total of 2 hours professional development credit.
This resource includes a recorded presentation by Josh Young from Miami Dade College on this topic, the Workshop Proposal, Sample Presentation, and Post-Workshop Materials (including a planning worksheet, lesson planning guide, and classroom activity ideas) – everything you need to replicate this strategy on your own campus.

How would a campus best use this resource?
Use these sample materials to create a Faculty Professional Development Workshop on your own campus to prepare faculty to embed nonpartisan voter registration and education into their classes. This resource can also be used in combination with the Ask Every Student Faculty Champions Model.
Learning outcomes
Campus partners will be able to implement a Faculty Professional Development Workshop on their own campus.
