Ask Every Student Faculty Focus Groups & Surveys

One of the best ways to ask every student is by working with faculty to integrate nonpartisan civic and voter engagement into their courses. However, this strategy is often more easily said than done.

Holding focus groups with and collecting surveys from faculty allows you to figure out how to better understand and serve faculty stakeholders on their campus. These resources focus on identifying the incentives, resources, support, opportunities, and barriers to address in order to meet faculty where they are at, and work together to include civic and voter engagement into their courses in a way that is intentional and supportive.

How would a campus best use this resource?
Use the template survey and focus group questions to hear from faculty on your campus and develop a faculty engagement strategy that best works for the faculty on your campus based on their responses. This resource is meant to be used in conjunction with the Faculty Champions Toolkit.
Learning outcomes
Coalition partners, especially campus partners, will learn ways to to better understand and serve faculty stakeholders on their campus, in order to work together to integrate nonpartisan civic and voter engagement into their courses and ask every student to participate in democracy.
