The New Georgia Project is a nonpartisan effort to register and civically engage Georgians. Georgia’s population is growing and becoming increasingly diverse. The New American Majority – people of color, those 18 to 29 years of age, and unmarried women – is a significant part of that growth. We meet new voters where they are – in churches, on college campuses, in their neighborhoods – to share information about how to register and how to vote. We are turning new registrants into voters, many for the first time ever.
The New Georgia Project provides civic training to colleges throughout Georgia. Trainings include Voter Registration, youth advocacy and organizing training geared towards college students. We equip students with the tools necessary to lead on their campus and in their community.
