Voters need accurate, reliable information from trusted sources in order to make their voices heard. For student voters especially, accurate information about where and how they can register and cast their ballot is essential, and can be hard to find. That’s why the Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition is proud to announce its support for the National Association of Secretaries of State’s (NASS) nonpartisan #TrustedInfo2022 initiative in advance of the 2022 elections.
The goal of #TrustedInfo2022 is to direct voters to a trusted source for credible and accurate election information: election officials. By promoting their websites and social media pages, we can help ensure voters receive accurate election information in a timely manner – and help them avoid misinformation and disinformation that too often surrounds elections.
Throughout the run-up to the 2022 elections, the SLSV Coalition will support #TrustedInfo2022 by highlighting content from election officials that will help voters cast their ballots with confidence. This information will help alleviate one of the most important obstacles that prevents student voters – and voters of all kinds – from participating in our elections.
