The Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, the national hub and largest nonpartisan network in the United States dedicated to increasing college student voter participation, is proud to announce the launch of the SLSV Coalition Map, an interactive set of tools designed to help stakeholders and partners throughout the coalition navigate the nonpartisan student democratic engagement space.

The SLSV Coalition Map, which comprises a Partner Directory, Explainer Graphics, Resource Library, and Student Vote Starter Packs, was created in response to direct feedback and ideation sessions with numerous Coalition organizations. Many stated that the rapid expansion of the nonpartisan student voter engagement space in recent years has made it difficult to find the right resources and partners, especially for newcomers.

Using a human-centered design process that collaborated with nearly 100 Coalition partners, the SLSV Coalition team was able to create comprehensive and user-friendly tools that enable partners at all levels of engagement to easily find the partners and resources they need to navigate the Coalition and support nonpartisan student voter engagement on their campuses and in their communities.

Each of the four tools found in the SLSV Coalition Map serves partners in a unique way:

  • The Partner Directory helps users learn about and connect with SLSV Coalition partners, via a search function that allows users to filter their queries based on organization type, specific states served, and primary audiences.
  • The Explainer Graphics help demystify the national nonpartisan student democratic engagement space by explaining what commonly used acronyms stand for, illustrating the different ways that organizations collaborate and are connected, and demonstrating the different ways that organizations interact with campuses.
  • The Resource Library helps users find toolkits, publications, and other resources with a search function that allows users to filter their queries based on the strategies toolkits are used for as well as their primary audience.
  • The Student Vote Starter Packs offer recommendations based on common questions and concerns that come up from different types of Coalition partners, ranging from those who are completely new to the nonpartisan student voter engagement space, to longtime involved stakeholders.
