The Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition, the United States’ largest nonpartisan network dedicated to growing college student voter participation, announced its 2025 Advisory Board today. The Board consists of 20 members who hold leadership roles in local, statewide, and national organizations throughout the US with missions that align with SLSV’s vision of easy and equal access for every college student to participate in every election.

The 2025 SLSV Advisory Board brings a mix of experience and perspectives that will enable invaluable contributions to the Coalition in the coming year. Among them are three current students, six individuals who support student voter engagement efforts in a staff or faculty capacity at their college or university, four leaders of statewide advocacy groups, five leaders from national nonprofit organizations that make key contributions to the overall nonpartisan student vote movement, one state election official and one local election official:

  • Brenna Cully, Director of Mobilization, VoteAmerica
  • Craig Berger, Associate Director of Community Engaged Learning, Kent State University
  • D’Bria Bradshaw, Florida State Coordinator, the Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project
  • Derrick Lewis, Interim National Director, NAACP Youth & College Division
  • Giancarlo da Motta, Student, Miami Dade College
  • Jada Barnes, Youth Organizer, Mississippi Votes
  • Jessica Bahena-Rance, Director of Outreach and Communications, Student Senate for California Community College
  • Kareena Salvi, Youth Engagement and Field Associate, APIAVote

  • Sam Waltemeyer, Executive Director, Phi Mu Delta Fraternity
  • Stephanie King, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge
  • Will Bowlin, Government and History Instructor, Northeast Mississippi Community College

The Board will be tasked with advising a national student vote movement that enters 2025 from a place of strength, following a year in which more than 1400 college campuses hosted nonpartisan fall voter mobilizations during the Civic Holidays, and more colleges and universities than ever before completed and enacted nonpartisan democratic engagement action plans.

“It has never been more important to help student voters participate in – and prepare to lead – our democracy,” said SLSV Coalition Executive Director and Co-Founder Clarissa Unger. “Our 2025 Advisory Board brings an extraordinary combination of national reach, local connections, and on-the-ground experience to our efforts to meet the moment.”
